running progress

Thanks to those intrepid runners for came along on Sunday. It was a bit of a wet start, but warmer than we thought. After the first lap of the lake we had to start taking off our outer layers. Let's hope that we get some dry days in June.

We usually do the first lap of the lake as a warm up lap and it was really good to see that many of the runners have started running the whole way round the lake on their 2nd and 3rd laps. This is really good progress.

We've got 3 and a half months until the 10k race - I think that everyone in the running group would be able to complete the run if they wanted to have a go.

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday. I will be there at 10am. I've started working with another group in the park before our one so I won't be there mega early - but will be there by 10!

It was really hot on Sunday - well done everyone - remember to have a drink before you run if it's hot and at the end of your run too. Plain water is the best thing. It's got zero calories which is great if you're also trying to lose weight!
